Good design doesn't
just look right.
It works.

I make the stuff that has to survive real life: shelves, shirts, websites, print files, vendor emails, and the last-minute changes nobody puts in the brief.

A mix of launches, packaging runs, merch drops, storefront updates, and odd little design problems that needed more than a pretty mockup.

Custom Illustration & Sticker Design
Illustration
Custom illustrated assets
Custom illustration for sticker packs, merch graphics, and collectible-style artwork. Small pieces need a lot of personality quickly, so the focus was bold shapes, clean linework, and enough attitude to hold up at sticker size.

What I do

The work between the idea and the shipped thing

Brand, packaging, merch, digital, and web work for the places design actually has to live: retail shelves, product pages, print vendors, launch timelines, and internal teams.

I can help shape the concept, clean up the system, build the files, and get the work ready for the people who have to sell it, print it, code it, or wear it.

01
Branding & Identity
Logo systems, brand direction, and guidelines that are useful after the kickoff deck is closed.
02
Packaging & Print
Labels, boxes, and print pieces with shelf presence, clean files, and enough production sense to actually get made.
03
Merch & Apparel
Graphics for tees, headwear, and accessories that people want to wear, with files prepared for production.
04
Digital & Social
Campaign assets, promo graphics, product storytelling, and social visuals that keep the brand together across screens.
05
Web Design
Shopify, Squarespace, and Framer builds with clearer structure, better merchandising, and fewer places for customers to get lost.
06
Illustration
Sticker art, icons, character work, and custom graphics with their own personality that still fit the brand.
About

I like design better when it has a job to do

Portrait of Chris Hansen

I'm Chris Hansen, a senior graphic designer and creative lead with over two decades of experience making brand, packaging, merch, and digital work that actually gets produced.

Most of my favorite projects sit in the messy middle: the concept is there, the deadline is real, the product line has too many SKUs, the files have to go somewhere, and somebody eventually has to print, sell, code, ship, or wear the thing.

I've worked with Antigua Apparel, Home and Body, entertainment clients, DTC brands, and freelance teams that needed someone who could take the idea, make it look right, and get it ready for everyone downstream.

I've led creative teams, managed production pipelines, built systems for multi-SKU programs, and spent plenty of time keeping printers, developers, vendors, and internal teams pointed in the same direction.

I care about design that makes a business look credible, a product feel worth buying, and a brand easier to remember. It should look good, obviously. But it also needs to print clean, load fast, scale up, scale down, and still make sense when it leaves the screen.

I'm based near Phoenix, take on select freelance and contract work, and remain very convinced that print is nowhere near dead.

How it works

How a project usually moves

Nothing mysterious here. We figure out what needs to be made, agree on the shape of the work, make the thing, revise it, and get the final files where they need to go.

01
Quick conversation
We talk through what you need, what already exists, what is working, and what is getting in the way.
02
Scope and plan
I turn that conversation into a clear scope, timeline, and quote so everyone knows what is included before the work starts.
03
Design and refine
I build the direction, show the thinking, and revise in focused rounds. Enough structure to keep things moving, enough room to make it better.
04
Final files
You get organized files, exports, and handoff notes for wherever the work is going next: print, web, social, vendors, or an internal team.
